Program Director – TECH Security and TECH Networking

Location: Rochester, NY
Hours: Full Time


Responsibilities:
Is responsible for the effective operation of the current Information Technology program and the transition to and full implementation of the TECH security and TECH Networking programs for the Rochester Market, including compliance with Bryant & Stratton policy; ensuring students meet course and program outcomes; meeting program enrollment, retention, and graduation goals; developing and maintaining partnerships with employers; and coordinating and evaluating internships.

Specific Market responsibilities include:
  • Ensure all documentation, reporting, and instructional activities are in compliance with all standards, competencies, policies, and guidelines as set forth by Bryant & Stratton College
  • Teach as required
  • Represent the programs at open houses, high school events, new student orientations, student recognition ceremonies, etc.
  • Oversee TECH program labs and ensure that the appropriate hardware and software is installed and functional to meet the program and course specific outcomes in conjunction with the market IT department
  • Model lifelong learning and ensure program quality through continuous professional development
  • Coordinate course schedule each semester and help assign instructors
  • Work closely with academic advisors and faculty to ensure student needs are addressed within and outside of the classroom
  • Monitor course materials and grade and attendance reports to ensure course outcomes are met and rigor upheld
  • Provide coaching, training, and information to TECH program faculty
  • Work cooperatively with Career Services to enlist and develop TECH Security and TECH Network internship sites
  • Serve on college committees as needed
  • Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, or Information Systems Management required
  • CCNA and/or Security + certification required
  • Three (3) years professional experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom instruction with teaching experience in post-secondary and/or vocational/technical education
  • Exceptional leadership, facilitation, and written and oral communications skills as well as demonstrated competence in developing others, maintaining confidentiality, managing detail, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to forge supportive partnerships within and between departments
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, student success, and campus culture and values
