
Full-Time Instructor(Day/Evening) – Criminal Justice

Reports To: Dean of Instruction and Program Director
Location: Rochester, NY
Job Description:
Serves as an instructor for the Criminal Justice Program and works closely with the Program Director and other full-time instructors to assist the College in continuing to grow and develop a quality program.
Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction between 15 – 21 contact hours per week in the Criminal Justice program, and other programs to best serve the College.
- Foster academic excellence in teaching and learning.
- Adhere to and uphold all established operational policies and procedures.
- Attend required college functions including staff meetings, in-service training, graduation, and special activities.
- Remain current in teaching field through professional development.
- Utilize active learning (facilitation), authentic assessment, and portfolio assignments to maintain a challenging learning environment for students.
- Assist in monitoring student internships and in recruiting internship sites.
- Participate in campus-wide initiative in support of recruitment, retention, and graduation goals.
Academic Credentials:
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or related filed
Skills and Experince:
- Two + years of criminal justice/law enforcement experience required.
- College level teaching experience preferred.
- Ability to interact and work effectively with faculty, staff and students.
- Leadership, integrity, problem solving and strong communication skills.
