Because of its efforts to serve the educational needs of servicemembers and their family members, Bryant & Stratton College has been designated a Servicemembers Opportunities Consortium (SOC) college. As a member of the SOC consortium, Bryant & Stratton College has committed itself to fully support and comply with SOC principles and criteria. The Virginia Beach campus of Bryant & Stratton College is also a SOCNAV and SOCAD consortium member.

Military personnel and military family members have access to a wide variety of education funding resources. Bryant & Stratton is dedicated to helping our students navigate and understand the benefits and programs that are available to them. When you come in or call, we can help you identify the programs that are available to you and assist you with completing the appropriate paperwork.
Montgomery GI Bill
State Scholarships, Grants and Tuition Assistance: Benefits vary by state. Please speak with a Bryant & Stratton representative to understand benefits available in your state.
Post 9/11 Montgomery GI Bill Information: New education benefit program for individuals who served in active duty on or after 9/11/2001. Payable for education pursued after August 1, 2009.
Eligibilty:
- Served 90 aggregate days on active duty after September 10, 2001 and you are still on active duty or honorably discharged.
- Released from active duty and placed on the retired list or temporarily disabled retired list.
- Released from active duty for further service in a reserve division of the armed forces.
- If you were honorably discharged from active duty for a service-connected disability and you served 30 continuous days after September 10, 2001 you may be eligible.
- If on August 1, 2009 you qualify for other benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill and, you also qualify under the Post 9/11 GI Bill, you may make an irrevocable decision to receive benefits solely under the Post 9/11 GI Bill.
What is covered?
- Cost of tuition and fees, not to exceed the most expensive in-state undergraduate tuition at a public institution of higher education. Paid directly to school.
- Monthly housing allowance* equal to the basic housing allowance payable to a military E-5 with dependents, in the same zip code as your school. Paid to you.
- Yearly books and supplies stipend-up to $1,000. Paid to you.
- A one-time payment of $500 paid to individuals relocating from a highly rural area. Paid to you.
