Bobcats Roat Past SUNY ESF 3-1

Bryant & Stratton College men’s soccer team (3-0) continues to impress as they came from behind to defeat SUNY ESF 3-1 this past weekend. The Oaks who compete in the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) which is comprised of 2 and 4 year colleges came into the game with a record of 4-0 and ranked #9 in the nation.

The Bobcats played an aggressive game as they outshot their opponents 23-9. ESF scored early at the 5 minute mark to put the Bobcats on their heels.Sean Latimer (Hampshire, England) answered the call as he struck right back to tie the score 1-1. Yussef Olajide (Brooklyn, NY) scored the winning goal on a trick play early in the second half. Lenior Sery (Wooster, MA) provided the insurance goal late in the second half to preserve the victory. “This was a tremendous result,” Bobcats coach Nick Dimitrievski said. “They were an older team comprised of juniors and seniors but our speed of play broke them down. I attribute our mental toughness which helped increase our speed of play and preparation for such a team”

The Bobcats continue play this week with a home game today against Genesee Community College (2012 NJCAA Div. III National Champion Runner -Up) @ 4:00pm.
