Bobcats defeat nations top team
By B&SC News Team
Rochester, NY – The Bryant & Stratton men’s soccer team (8-3-1) continues to impress as they defeated the nation’s top soccer team Genesee Community College 4-2.
The Bobcats took command of the game with an early goal from Michael Richardson (Grenada, West Indies)) and never looked back. The Bobcats continued to apply pressure and added three insurance goals in the second half to secure the victory 4-2.
“This was a tremendous result” Bobcats coach Nick Dimitrievski said. “Every top professional and college team in the world plays a modern 4-3-3 soccer formation. We had one week to prepare an unconventional 4-4-2 man marking system. The system proved to be pivotal as it gave a numerical advantage all over the field”
The Bobcats need everyone’s support as they face Merceyhurst North East College during the upcoming play-off’s. Please show your school pride and wear your blue and white! The details for the play-off’s will be announced.
