Aggressive play responsible for Bobcats loss
By B&SC News Team
The Bobcats, (ranked #7th in the NJCAA), lost 2-1 to Burlington County College, (ranked #14th in the NJCAA), in the Region III district play-off game on Saturday. From the first half of the game, it was clear that BCC was going to live up to their reputation for harsh play. During this season alone, they have led the way in the highest amount of fouls by receiving 37 yellow cards and 5 red card disqualifications. “The Bobcat’s fate was pretty much sealed when several of our top players were fouled by BCC players, resulting in injuries that forced them to the sidelines for the remainder of the game,” said Coach Dimitrievski. The team was disheartened by the official’s judgment calls throughout the game and consequently had a difficult time rallying back from these questionable decisions and brutality tactics. Coach Dimitrievski said, “I congratulate our players. They have put on some outstanding performances that include a final record of 11-1, Region III Champions, Western New York Athletic Conference Champions and raised the bar with the leadership they executed this season.”
