NJCAA Ranked Bobcats Basketball Teams Host Hoops for a Cure Event at 2015 Homecoming Game

The Men & Women’s Bobcats Basketball teams of Bryant & Stratton College are joining the fight against breast cancer by hosting a special Hoops for a Cure event at their upcoming homecoming double header on Saturday, February 7th starting at 2pm at Maury High School.

The BSC Bobcats have partnered with the Maury High School PINK Club to coordinate a fun-filled Breast Cancer Awareness campaign to take place at both the BSC Lady Bobcats vs. the Catawba Valley Community College Lady Red Hawks game at 2pm and the #18 BSC Men’s Bobcats vs. the Vance-Granville Community College Vanguards game at 4pm. Several fundraising opportunities are planned, along with an official “Pink Out” that is being promoted, requesting all attendees to wear pink colored apparel at the games to raise awareness about Breast Cancer.

“Of course, we are pleased to welcome back alumni, students and parents attending this year’s homecoming,” says Chris Sawyer, Hampton Campus Director, ” but we are also extremely excited about doing our part to battle breast cancer.” Since 2013, there have been four BSC employees who have had to battle (and overcome) breast cancer. The Lady Bobcats, a 1st year squad, will honor these individuals, and all Breast Cancer Survivors by wearing commemorative pink uniforms during their game.
