By B&SC News Team
GETZVILLE, NY (November 23, 2016) – Bryant & Stratton College was recently granted accreditation for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree programs by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education as a national accreditation agency.
“This accomplishment is huge,” said Dr. Linda Krueger, Dean of Nursing at Bryant & Stratton College. “Accreditation is an indicator of a quality educational program. I am very proud of the faculty who worked so hard to create the program and ensure the students receive a high-quality education which prepares them for the professional work of nursing practice. Our students and health care partners contributed to the process of accreditation and we are appreciative of their efforts as well.”
The programs are:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing Generalist (BSN) – Prepares graduates to provide complex patient care in numerous settings in the healthcare field, such as hospitals, clinics, private practices, and other professional settings. Graduates of Bryant & Stratton College’s nursing bachelor’s degree program are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. The program is currently available in Wisconsin and Ohio.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing – RN to BSN – Gives nursing degree graduates who have obtained NCLEX-RN licensure the chance to continue their pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in nursing. Bryant & Stratton College’s RN to BSN program helps registered nurses develop a stronger foundation in skills beyond the strict clinical side of the nursing profession. Students develop vital research and leaderships skills in order to gain opportunities for career advancement. The program is currently available in Wisconsin, Ohio, and Virginia.
Both programs are now enrolling for January. Students will benefit from the college’s Career LifePrep™, a unique set of experiences offered exclusively by Bryant & Stratton College that helps prepare students at every step in their academic journey, both while in school and after graduation. With a dedicated team of associates, especially faculty, to support and help them navigate their path to their career, students will experience what their chosen career is like while they are still in college, developing skills and confidence, and creating a competitive advantage when they graduate.
