CHESTERFIELD, VA, October 19, 2015 – The Richmond campus of Bryant & Stratton College hosts a special book signing for local writer Nicole M. Brown MSN, RN showcasing her latest work You Can Become a Professional Nurse on Thursday, November 12th from 4pm to 5pm at the College’s North Chesterfield site. A former Amazon Kindle Best Selling book, Brown’s You Can Become a Professional Nurse was released in May and has a workbook and 8-week course designed to accompany the literature offering strategies, tips and training on how to be successful in the career of nursing. Brown is the founder of The Nurse Dolls, LLC and an award-winning author of The Adventures of Nurse Nicole, – N is for Nurse and Wash Your Hands. She has also developed an animated DVD titled, Battle of the Germs depicting a mom and a nurse fighting germs. To provide positive role models for young children and teach them about the largest healthcare profession in the world, Brown has created two 18-inch dolls called Nurse Nicole and Nurse Linda. The books, DVD & dolls enhance the learning of children in a fun and creative way. As founder of Nursing Success College, Brown mentors both student and professional nurses alike. The NSC is a resource dedicated to providing assistance to future nurses, student nurses and professional nurses through engagement, education and empowerment. A talented entrepreneur, she believes everyone should have a nurse mentor before, during and after nursing school. Brown is currently planning the Nursing Success Career Expo this November, which is designed to be a one-stop shop for professional and future nurses providing various types of education opportunities in nursing schools and NCLEX review strategies. Brown holds an AD in Nursing from J. Sergeant Reynolds Community College (1994), BS in Nursing from Old Dominion (1997), a MS in Nursing from University of Phoenix (2007) and is a current Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate at Walden University (2015). She is currently a Nursing Instructor at Bryant & Stratton College-Richmond and remains dedicated to providing positive images of Nursing to the world.
