The Basic Life Support (BLS) course is completed in a classroom setting and led by a certified AHA instructor. Participants will receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Ask for information about how this course can be used to earn CEUs.

Program Highlights

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). This course is taught in person and led by a certified AHA instructor. BLS is geared towards prehospital providers, like EMTs, paramedics, fire fighters, and in-facility hospital providers. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer or school to ensure that you are selecting the correct course.
