A continuing upward trend in hiring for EKG techs has put candidates trained in electrocardiograms (EKG’s), stress testing and Holter monitors in demand throughout the healthcare industry. Bryant & Stratton College’s EKG Technician certificate program provides students with the key skills needed to fill positions as EKG Technicians throughout the industry.

Program Highlights

The EKG Technician training program combines classroom study with practical work that hones real-world workplace skills in conjunction with the critical theory and practice taught through in-class lectures. Coursework prepares students to sit for the Certified EKG Technician (CET) exam, a national exam that credentials EKG techs. Preparation for the CET exam highlights the key competencies taught through the classwork, giving the student the opportunity to earn a national credential to couple with their online and hands-on training.

EKG Courses

Through a combination of online and hands-on training, the EKG program at Bryant & Stratton College provides the necessary EKG classes to sit for the Certified EKG Technician exam and eventually a job as an EKG tech. Classes in basic healthcare terminology, ethics and anatomy combine with detailed courses in administering an EKG provides a wide-range of training for students in the EKG program. The courses below make up the EKG certificate program.
